The event was held at the Indiana War Memorial Museum, and included a residential housing “Boot Camp” to train real estate professionals and mortgage planners on how to handle the home purchase needs of active duty and military veterans with excellence.

The honoree at the event was Bryan Chambers. Bryan is a Marine veteran in need of a wheelchair-accessible home. Fairway branches and AWI were able to give Bryan a $20,000 home renovation grant to fulfill that need.

Branch Manager Austin Larr was thrilled to be part of this wonderful event. He commented:

Louise, Sean, and crew do an excellent job with these events! This is the second time that AWI has come to Indianapolis and we hope we can get them to come every year going forward. So moving and so informative! Before the event is over, all of our Realtors/builders are asking when we can do it again.”

Founded by Louise Thaxton and Sean Parnell, the American Warrior Initiative is a non-profit organization, sponsored by Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation, which seeks to ease the transition for U.S. veterans between military and civilian life.

I am proud to work for a company that does so much to honor those who sacrifice for our country. If I can help answer any questions about VA loans or any other home loan options, give me a call.
