corona-photoA Fairway Independent Mortgage branch in Corona, California, partnered with the American Warrior Initiative (AWI) to honor Custom Canines and All American Riders for everything they do to support US veterans. In collaboration with the event, a residential housing “Boot Camp” was also held to train real estate professionals on how to handle the home purchase needs of active duty and military veterans with excellence.

Custom Canines Service Dog Academy Inc. is a nonprofit organization of volunteers who devote their time to creating and supporting a partnership between service dogs and disabled individuals. The service dogs given to disabled veterans enhance their quality of life tremendously, providing them with an extremely helpful and loyal companion.

All American Riders is an organization that provides a safe place for US military veterans who ride American-made motorcycles. This organization exists to bring US veterans together as they uplift and look out for each other. All American Riders makes a large effort to help veterans in need, specifically those who struggle with PTSD as well as Gold Star and POW and MIA families.

Fairway and the American Warrior Initiative honored Custom Canines and All American Riders with monetary gifts to aid in their endeavors to help US veterans. Branch Manager, Judy Marburger, was honored to be a part of this fantastic event. She said,

Recently we held a phenomenal AWI Bootcamp.  We started our year off by holding a grand opening to celebrate our 1-year anniversary with the company.  We decided to also make it a fundraiser for the Boot Camp.  Next we held a 5k to raise money for our upcoming Boot Camp.  Finally, the Boot Camp was here and we were about to reap the rewards for all the hard work we did for the past several months.

At our Boot Camp we had approximately 125 people in attendance.  Mostly realtors but some family members and close friends.  About a half hour into the event, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.  Louise and her team do a phenomenal job in explaining who we are and what we do! We awarded a veteran with a service dog and another organization monies for their non-profit.  Again, very emotional and fulfilling!  Definitely set us on the path of giving back and being very community-oriented.  I personally feel highly motivated to do whatever I can to help our veterans.  Since these events I have personally participated in a couple of different fundraising events, a Veterans’ Day Parade, helped feed the homeless veterans Christmas Dinner and more!”

The American Warrior Initiative is a national non-profit organization sponsored by Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation. AWI seeks to ease the transition for U.S. veterans between military and civilian life.

I am proud to work for a company that is a proud supporter of the American military and has helped thousands of active military personnel and veterans nationwide with their home mortgage needs. I feel extremely fortunate to be able to give back to these brave veterans and their families.
